Island adventure—snorkeling in Lovina

This past weekend, after two nights in wonderful Ubud, we traveled north on winding mountain roads to the quiet remote town of, Lovina, Bali. We spent the afternoon snorkeling along the coral reefs which were a short jukong boat ride from the beach. It is quite amazing with brightly colored fish dashing in front of your eyes. I did this made up sketch from memory, so I don't think any of them are real species, but they are just as colorful.

It's a wonderful sketch--great colors and I love the splashes of blue. I could never do anything from memory. :-(
Do you find great shells there too?

They are just so nicely done, and I could see an Ikan Buntal(puffer fish) at the bottom :) Glad you had a great one!

I've been there and was amazed at the incredible brilliant life that lies beneath the clear water. I'll never forget the huge blue starfish. Love your sketch!

I was going to ask how you kept your paints from floating off... :) Lovely job!

Those are great fish... I do remember seeing some so wildly colorful when snorkeling in Hawaii.

Oh I love these. I'll have to go snorkelling next time I go to Bali. I usually just stay in Ubud now.
