"suburb girl" goes to town

I have been spending more time in Portland, so this "suburb girl" and her little dog are taking early morning walks through the streets of the Old Port. It's a whole new world for sketching. The biggest problem in the city are more of those darn scary "dreaded" storm drains, but they do give dog treats at Javanet.

Oh this is awesome! I had to look twice to realize that the drawing on the left wasn't a photo of your coffee cup on the map. Great great great!

I found this through your comments on Kate's Flickr site --- You really did a wonderful job with "old Portland"! (I used to live there - great memories!)

And Sophie is wonderful! My mom just adopted one of the same breed, also named Sophie --- 5 1/2 lbs. and very outgoing and brave.

I am enjoying browsing through all of your work. Thanks!

Intriguing entries, the map and coffee, quite interesting and the lamp still life is very warm and friendly (like old port itself) I would prefer a portrait WC moleskine and Shirley (Paper and Threads)and I are considering a campaign to get them made.I hope you will let us see your new sketch kit (paint box expecially and pallet choice)

Wowie! What size? What color media? I now have a little Moleskin and a big one and am afraid to "dive in" to a journal with a double page spread (rather than spiral binding!!) Thanks for the inspiration.
