clear and cold and crows

21° this morning, when Sophie and I took our early morning walk along the water. The rising sun casts an orange glow on the bleak March landscape. In Maine, April is considered a winter month...

I LOVE this and the one below, Jennifer. Your work is just exquisite. The limited palette works perfectly in these two, really conveying the cold and the clear air.
I hope it warms up for you soon. I love the coast of Maine----in the summer ;D.
Stay warm.

Beautiful pages this and the last. Great landscapes and the crows are excellent!

You've caught the birds expression so beautifully. - 21 is cooling down for us, here in Oz - time to plant the autumn lettuce and spinach, and no need to take all exercise in the early morning.

This is terrific, and the previous drawing too. I'd love to go walking there, it look so peaceful, even if a bit cool yet :)

I love both these pieces..not only because I love crows...but the layout and use of color are wonderful. I would not mind owning one of these drawings. Excellent work!
