The camera I use everyday is a Canon Power Shot and not very interesting to draw. This Polaroid Land Camera has been with me for years. I was in college when this camera was first introduced. Yep, that's me and I was studying, in what year was that?

Awwww...I had one of those, too. Really cute post...
Great drawing, love the inclusion of the picture.
Okay...I'm guessing sometime in the early 70's...only because that's the way I used to wear my hair at that time and it's also just about the time I too had a polaroid...a great post...really invites us all in...and, of course, your sketch is awesome...but then again that's a "given". :)
Just enlarged the photo..."Dude!"... Those are some "behemoth" speakers!!!
Oh, the Land camera is such a beautiful object, and your drawing of it is gorgeous. I wish I had one of those, but they are somewhat hard to come by these days...
Great work!
wow! i love that camera drawing! it's wonderful. love the shading and the colors you used. great! nice to see what results people come up with as i was the one chosing the topic for this challenge! :) haven't made my camera drawing yet though...
Very nice, I like the combination of the cross-hatching and the splash of color -- gotta love that 1970's pumpkin color!
Ohhh...this is so cute! I love it!
I guess 1977 - I got that camera as a graduation gift and it was the Coolest thing ever. And yet Boy of boy have things changed with digital.
I'm with Margaret Ann -- early 70's... the embroidered "peasant" blouse, short shorts, ORANGE in the dorm, and the angular aspects of the camera. Isn't nostaligia great! Nice drawing.
I love the camera and the photo of you together. Also, great lines and color contrast here, as well as such an interesting shape on your camera. Great site you have here-beautiful work!
Wow, this is an amzing drawing. The lines are clean and crisp. Just lovely. 1974?
This wonderful old camera was introduced in 1972. So, that makes me a wonderful old girl...
