I saw this boat on one one of my early morning beach walks. The color of the boat and the water were amazing. I don't even think I have the capabilities to create the turquoise color with my palette. In Maine, the water was many times more gray than blue and I usually used some artistic license to make it more blue. Now I have to figure out how to make turquoise! I am continuing to learn what life is like in this new land and at times wonder how Maine will feel when I go back there in January...clearly, darn cold!

Beautiful! I LOVE those colors!
So wonderful, I wish I could be there with you to sketch a few days. It must be incredibly inspiring to have a totally new environment around you for a longer period of time. Beautiful sketches.
Thanks for the glimpse of exotica.
That's a really nice, bright painting. Full of the deep color you'd expect from a place like Bali.
Beautiful, beautiful painting. I wish I were there!
What an awesome painting. I'm glad you're telling us the differenceds. Is the light different there too? What language is spoken in Bali?
Love the watercolor sketches! When I 1st saw the caribbean ocean after Maine it was startling beautiful. Try manganese blue with pthalo green for the turquoise, it worked for me on the turquoise caribbean sea.
Loving your Bali posts! Thanks for sharing! Love the one from the cafe too. Such delicious colors. Just wondering, what led you to Bali?
Ah, you're creating wonderful memories. Beautiful colors here...I can feel the warmth.
