Every Day in May—EDM #103 exercise equipment

Day 3 of the Every Day in May challenge. 2011 unfolded far from what I had planed and I could not imagine the rocky path I had suddenly stumbled on to. A friend suggested yoga for a way to cope with all the change happening in my life. So off I went to try hot power yoga at a new studio nearby. It has been a lifesaver both physically and mentally. I am a total addict. I am a yogi. So when I am not traveling for my consulting job, I am taking yoga classes. The combination of breathing which clears your head of clutter, the powerful poses that create long lean muscles and focusing on your core that makes you strong. I can now hold "crow" (shown above) for over 15-20 seconds...as long as I don't forget to breathe...

"I breathe in what I want and need and breathe out what I don't need anymore"

I am amazed!! Is there anything you can't do. I love breathe in what you need and breathe out what you don't need. A good thought to remember on my walks. Have a great day.

Great sketch. I don't know about yoga but we used to do this pose in highschool gym class when we were trying gymnastics. I think yoga would be good for me but I am so lazy I do nothing. My son says a group setting really helps him as he doesn't want to be the first to stop on any pose. I don't think yoga is supposed to be competitive though.

Yoga is Wonderful, I feel like I have had a total body massage at class end. Your crow pose is quite an achievment! Love this post.

A true inspiration, I have so much on my plate too and maybe this is just what I need... But I have to ask, can you really do that pose? Thats totally amazing, wow!!!
Love the painting you did, the colours and the wonderful relaxed feeling to it (just like yoga : )

And that saying below, its so nice (is that your's? or someone elses?... I would like to copy that and paste it on my inspiration board)

I really hope you find more of that!! Lovely work!!!

I've only been doing yoga for a few months, but I'm hooked. I definately can't do 'the crow' pose, well done you!
