More snow

The days are getting longer, but it is still very much winter here in Maine. When I started this painting it was not snowing and then as the flakes began, I decided to try to add the snow. White acrylic paint seemed my best option. I guess that makes it fake snow! Now I have to scratch off the white acrylic splatters that are all over my desk, computer and black fleece jacket.

The white acrylic paint works as snow. Good luck with the spatters.

All too soon you will be replacing the snow and cold with beach sand and humidity...Glad to see this winter series of urban Portland...you certainly have brought your bright Bali colors up north with you on this one...nice work here. :)

If the white acrylic looks as good on your clothing etc as it does on your painting, then I would leave it there!

Lovely picture - we've lost all our snow now but this brings it right back to me. The acrylic works perfectly.

Not fake - just mixed media now which sounds more exciting!!
This is a lovely warm picture despite it depicting a cold day.

Oh how we suffer for our art ;-) Love the effect here, I know my in-laws got buried in 2 feet up there - Yuck - I am ready for spring.
