EDM challenge #207: Draw a shell

It's a balmy 45° today and the sun is shining. Still using this rough watercolor paper for my daily sketching. I keep grabbing from the little stack I have trimmed down to sketchbook size that is sitting at the corner of my table. Maybe it's convenient, maybe it's the challenge or maybe...I like it...

Nice combination of warm and cool color here - and you can use it for the shadow challenge as well.

This is just beautiful! I was going to comment on your previous post as well, how much I like it, and here you have already done another! I wish I had your way with watercolor. Glad to hear you are feeling better too.

Bad paper just never seems to get better, does it. But these colors are yummy.

I had to laugh--I've had it happen that sometimes I think I hate a certain paper or kind of paint, and then after using them, suddenly I decide I quite like them. Your shell is so beautiful! Such rich shadows. Lovely!

I do have a hard time with the rough papers.
