Winter blahs?

I have not been feeling very well lately. Not sure what is wrong with me, but I am not my energetic self even with my new haircut. Still managing to drag myself to the gym, but that's about it. Right now, I think I will walk my dog and crawl into bed.

Maybe your body ( and psyche) are having a hard time re-adjusting to the cold and short days? I hope you feel better soon, Jennifer. Take good care.

I periodically need to take a day in PJs, doing nothing but puttering around, reading, watching movies, with the cats and dog always near, for my mental health.
Love the painting--a wonderful design.

Hoping that it's just a bit of re-entry into Maine's recent weather.
Spoil yourself a little and allow yourself to take a break.
It's 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon~ still in my p.j.'s...

maybe it IS the haircut? kidding...
drink tea, cuddle up, take care of yourself.
I've been reading your blog and looking at your wonderful drawings for a couple of weeks. Thanks!

Deborah

p.s. i live in westchester county NY, but have many connections in portland - best friend, nieces and nephew, and I come to portland often; so it's fun for me to see your drawings of it.

I hope it isn't flu. Flu cases made the TV news here last week. If it doesn't go away, get checked out! And a day (or two) inside with flannels, cocoa or tea and Mozart(or Beethoven if you're up to it) can be very therapeutic.

I know what you mean...then I said to myself -"You really need to get excited" so I added a new green ski jacket and my day was suddenly transformed. So if it takes a new hat or some new art supplies, allow yourself a little excitement of a reward.
It works wonders.
For what it's worth - I love your work! Feel better.

Jennifer, I really hope you feel better soon. It sounds like the flu - it took us weeks to feel energetic again. For now, stay warm and dream of Bali...

Your illness hasn't affected your artistic talent, Jennifer! The new haircut is very chic. I hope you're soon feeling better and that it's just a cold and not the dreaded flu.

So sorry to hear you've not been feeling well. If it makes you feel any better, the drawings/paintings that have come out of your illness are quite remarkable. I especially like this one---and the decisions you've made about where to use color and where not.

And you've been going to the gym too...incredible!

I hope you're feeling better now! I really like this sketch. Wonderful use of simple (yet perfectly-placed) lines and color.
