Favorite things—Every Day in May # 16

After a long, cold, dark Maine winter, spring is the most amazing experience. I am in awe of what happens to the landscape around me. You can almost hear things grow.

hi from the west of ireland, where the may blossom is just a few days off its prime; achingly beautiful stacks of creamy white, like new snow on conifers. So we manage to forget winter and try to believe that fine weather is our birthright

Wonderful painting! I love the fact that you don´t seem to get caught up in details, and still manage to capture them all!
I know that spring feeling, isn´t it great? :)

Jennifer, this is gorgeous. Impressionistic (my favourite style, but one I'm not yet skilled enough to reproduce) and evocative. I am such a fan of your oils!

Oh, this is lovely. I don't know how you can get so much, so simply, in such a small space. This one has such a wonderful feeling.

I just think your work is SO awesome. I'm so glad you picked up Danny's book and started sketching and blogging! I love looking at all your work - your May sketches are fantastic!
What did you paint the cherries on; saw the text in the background?

Beautifully done. Those trees (whatever they are) are my favorites. I'm glad you captured this one so well.

Great blog, beautiful tree! There are purple trees blooming all around San Diego, I'm inspired.
