"invasion"

I have been invaded by dandelions and when the wind blows it looks as though it is snowing. Oh good, next year...more dandelions.

  1. but I love their yellow heads as one of the first signs of spring! Maybe you just need to collect the greens as salad leaves!

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er lakes and pines
When all at once I saw a crowd
    A host of golden dandelions
Upon the lawns, beneath the trees
Or anywhere they darn well please
My entire yard they would convert
From green to gold, and in despair
I gave each one a little squirt
    Of sure-kill liquid "Weeds Beware"
But those dumb plants paid little heed
For they grew on and went to seed
How oft upon my bed I lie
I'm captured by their magic spell
They flash upon my inward eye
And goes that one all to hell
How can my heart with rapture sing?
When I know they'll be back next spring.
