Lots of working, traveling and other things...

...that keep me from sketching.

I am so out of practice that my drawings are a mess. I walk by my sketchbook and paints everyday. Not sure when I will get back the enthusiasm and commitment of drawing again on a daily basis. I do so admire those who are able to keep that pace. You are amazing!

Influenced by the retail overload of Valentines Day, I bought a bar of dark chocolate with sea salt—YUM. A small bite a day until it was gone. Gone now—sad!

The vet said that Sophie was starting to develop a little gingivitis and I needed to start brushing her teeth everyday...EVERYDAY? Of course, she hates it, so it is not goimg so well.

Chocolate and a best friend! Two of the best things in the world to sketch, and you do such a beautiful job.

I love dark chocolate, and I saw the one with sea salt in the store... Wondering if it would be good, good to see someone tried it : ) Now I have to give it a go.

Im trying to get my Chrlie to get use to brushing, only if I could catch him first...

Lovely paintings as always!!

I love your sketches, and dark chocolate. I do the same...buy a bar and take a bite a day until it's gone...it takes some willpower, but it's easier on the hips!
Gosh! My dog won't even let me brush his hair, let alone his teeth!

These drawings are not a mess! Excellent - creative line and color! My wife and I have started munching on dark chocolate every night. We credit the flavenoids (whatever they are). And if you give Sophie some on a daily basis, she'll feel she will need to brush! It's all dog psychology.

These are wonderful, Jennifer. You haven't lost your touch, anyway! Brushing Shophie's teeth every day sounds hard! Dogs aren't too cooperative with that.

Oh that chocolate sounds yummy! Your Sophie is a cute one oh YES! We brush Mocha's (our cat) teeth often (malt flavored toothpaste) he loves it! Bring your patience and keep trying-it works, I promise!

Far from being a mess, I think your sketches are WONDERFUL! I really enjoy looking at them because they are always so lively!
I can relate to how you feel about life getting in the way of sketching. I only get around to posting my art around once or twice a week because of my job, family etc. I should really sketch more everyday things like your bar of chocolate - Love it!

Poor Sophie - She's had a really tough winter between the salt on the sidewalk, the gingivitis leading to daily tooth brushing, and the dreaded night dog! Of course, none of this has made your life any easier, either! I love the drawings and paintings you do - they're just wonderful. nancy

My favourite kind of chocolate! Delicious sketches. Does any dog in the world actually like having their teeth brushed? Mine used to hate it too.

Your drawings are amazing! I see no waning of your enthusiasm! I can relate however to walking by my sketchbook and paints and alas, doing nothing. I am feeling energized today. Hope I can make that last and figure out just what to draw and then DO IT!
