Sophie and I went out to Cape Elizabeth the other afternoon to puppy sit for Sang, a nine week old Weimaranar. I was rainy and cold, but we ran around and on grass anyway—well they did. Sophie was a little disappointed that Sang wasn't better at chasing her and was more interested in eating mulch.
After growling (Sophie) at the waterdish and a few laps around the dining room table, it was time for a dog break. While Sang slept in his crate and Sophie curled up on the couch staring at me with that "what is that creature in the crate" look, I sketched the rainy and cold view.
Oh, I love your watercolors, Jennifer. These are so pretty--that landscape is so rich and expressive. Fabulous. I could just picture these two from your descriptions--they sound adorable.
Jennifer, I love the rainy landscape you did. You chose the perfect dark, dank colors to express the mood of the scene in front of you. Lovely! Thank you for the inspiration.
Jennifer, PUPPY-SITTING! I'm so jealous! Two dogs instead of just one. How wonderful. I love the looseness of your sketch of Sang, and of course the landscape. What a great day. Roz

Love Sophie! Reminds me of Alice Neel (one of my favorite artists). And the landscape is a wonderful sketch - I can see excitement in this sketch.
Beautiful drawings!!!
Wow - I love the dog!!! How cute! All of your work is just so exiting and lively :0)

The puppy is adorable! You always do a great job sketching dogs.
Sang has that loose puppy posture, and the pinkish gray tones in his fur is perfect. Your sketches are always delightful.
Aw...such a sweet Sang. Who wouldn't prefer eating mulch? How funny! I can imagine Sophie's expression! Lovely paintings!
I love both these watercolours. Sang is a darling, but the weather there looks nasty (although a great painting of it).
These are great sketches and you captured the cold and rainy feel alright. Nicely done.
What a wonderfully beautiful Weimaraner!!! Do you sell your paintings?
