Doorways on the Old Port

Doorways on our walks around the Old Port

I sometimes think I depend too much on ink or pencil in my drawings, so I experimented with just using watercolor directly to create the images. I added a little crayon for the dog.

Ooooh--I love these, Jennifer! Great job. Really like that brick, too.

Lovely and loose. A "dreamy" atmosphere..

Love the shadows, I like the loose look.

I like these a lot, especially the bricks and the shadows.

These are great, Jennifer. They look so simple, but are not easy to do ... I admire how you see the discrete shapes.
ps Like your header too!

It's so funny - I know just how you feel. I ditched the pen for a while recently as well. The flowers at the doorway are wonderful! Love the spaced colors. And I am really into the grey above the dog. I am wondering how scraping might have done rather than crayon for the dog.

Superb Jennifer! I like drawing with my watercolor brush now and then too. These are excellent! Love the dog in the doorway.
