Day 6 of the Every Day in May challenge—something tart or sour. Lots of lemon and lime trees in my parents garden here in Northern California. So it just seemed natural and so right to spend time outside in this perfect sunny warm weather sketching and painting on the patio for the Day 6 challenge. "Out here havin fun in the warm California sun"
Back to gray rainy 55° Maine tomorrow...
I hope your drawing/painting does as much to boost your spirits and seeing your work again does for me!
ReplyDeleteHappy spring, dear heart.
What a stunning sketch, Jennifer! What pen are you using now? LOVE your line quality...
ReplyDeleteGorgeous sketch. Love your line and spontaneous use of watercolor. Wish I could grow one of those here!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your sketches! You inspire me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sunshine. We need it here in Seattle. I hope you find sunshine when you get home to Maine.
ReplyDeleteGreat!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kate,
ReplyDeleteAfter trying everything on the planet, I have settled on a Staedler .03 pigment liner and a Pentel Brush Pen or a Kuretake brush pen filled with permanenet ink. I get consistency and variety in my lines with these two drawing tools.
Jennifer
It's a gorgeous, exciting effect, Jennifer, thanks! I've got a Pentel, and enjoy it...I keep looking for a fountain pen with a flexible nib!
