At this time of year I am always amazed at the contrast between the gray pastel landscape outside and the bright intense colors I enjoy surrounding myself with in my home...
I'm a fan of your work! your line work is restrained and minimal and the color accents it well. I think I would like to see one before and after it is painted.
What a fabulous blog you have! I love all your sketches, but these last two really struck home. I am in CT but dh is from Bethel ME and we have friends on the coast and travel up the coast every summer - Hope the snow goes soon!!
Oh my, the tulips are just gorgeous, with that riotous purple background!! I think your work is exquisite :-)

ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. And then I clicked to see it bigger and it is even more lovely.
ReplyDeleteThermion7—That is a good idea. I think I will try that. When I started sketching last summer I only used black pen, but then I needed the color.
ReplyDeleteTerrific. Love the BLUE cat! Colored pencils, no?
ReplyDeleteYes, I wondered too if you used colored pencils-results are terrific Jennifer...those tulips knock me out!!! :)
