Lisbon folding sketch book

I spent 3 days in Lisbon before the Internationl Sketchers Symposium, sightseeing, sketching and eating the most delicious food. I happened to take a folding sketch book with me and decided that I needed to complete it before the Symposium started. It was a very different process for me but found I enjoyed the challenge.

A fellow sketcher took this photo of me with my crazy fold out sketch book during one of our workshops. I did not have time to put color into it until I got home. I have been so busy with work that it has only been worked on sporadically. Tonight it was finished and then I had the arduos task of figuring out how to post it...

It is not exactly the way I would like it. Funny crops etc. but for now it is okay. I really need to research this process a bit more...when I can find the time...

Totally delightful! I almost always enjoy other people's travel photos, but how much more fascinating to see it done in watercolor! And your slide show is very successful.

Your fold-out sketchbook is just terrific! I was fascinated at how you managed to connect all the pages so they flowed beautifully, even tho the had different subjects in them. Well done, indeed! nancy

That's a really dynamic presentation, Jennifer ~ beautifully drawn (of course!), cohesive, colorful, and the flowing format gives me the impression that I am actually walking through the scenes. While you can probably see flaws in the construction, it looks really professional to me.

Wow, your talent leaves me speechless! Not only a fantastic job of creating, but I really like the 'slide' presentation.
Was this a folding moleskine? I have one, haven't use it, the paper seems too thin for watercolor.
Thanks so much for sharing!

Jennifer, this is impressive! You've inspired me. Thanks so much for posting this. Did you make the foldout? I'd love to know what size, what paper, etc.

Hi Jennifer, nice meeting you briefly in Lisbon. I just came across your blog and thought I'd leave you a comment. The accordion book looks great! It is a bit tricky chaining a series of scenes together in these - I also have to work on finding the right way when it isn't an actual panorama. The slideshow is a great way to present it though.
